We're
just back from the 23rd Annual APSE National Conference, which was June 26 -
29, 2012 in Arlington, VA. This was an excellent conference on
supported employment and featured many great sessions. Several people
with Voc Rehab and special education, from several states, stopped by to
look at our MeetHear product and talk about inclusion of persons who are
differently abled in the workforce. We look forward to next year's
conference in Indianapolis.
We
attended the ESSP Conference, as part of the NTID Festival held on the
campus of RIT, on Friday, 5/4/2012.
The
Autism Works Conference was held March 6, 2012 in St. Louis, MO, and was a
very good conference. We had many people stop by our table and talk
about our MeetHear product, and related issues in special education.
We met some great folks with APSE, and made plans to attend the APSE
National Conference in June.
We
met many educators at SPARC 2011 on Saturday, 9/24/2011, in Largo, Florida.
The conference showcased a wide range of support, information and resources
for youth and their famiiles.
We
we're at the
Communication Access and Technology Expo, Saturday, 11/19/2011, in Tampa, FL. We
demonstrated our MeetHear product, which was warmly received at
the FRC meeting.
We had a great
meeting Friday, 11/18/2011, with the Florida
Rehabilitation Council (FRC) and representatives from the State of
Florida Vocational Rehabilitation Division, and other advocates and
vendors interested in promoting VR resources in the state. The State
VR folks are doing an awesome job, and FRC had a great turnout in
support of their effort. Kudos to Becki Forsell, Roy Cosgrove and the
rest of the FRC Board for a terrific meeting.
Attendees
at the 8th Annual AT Expo on April 28th got a close-up look at MeetHear,
when they visited COMMplements at booth 51. Many people stopped by the booth to get a
first hand look at MeetHear, and left impressed with the various
features and benefits of this note-taking / communication system.
Potential customers talked about their particular situations, and
learned how MeetHear could help them.
