"Connecting the Dots"

o   Connecting the Dots – when one can’t see the dots

o   An exposé of the myths associated with blindness and vision loss

o   An emphasis on senses other than sight

o   An exploration of strategies, tips and techniques designed to include VIPs (Visually Impaired Persons) rather than segregate them

o   A dialogue about what works and why, what does not appear to work and why, how it can work, and how all can work together

Each Connecting the Dots session is customized to the audience (i.e., doctor and legal offices, from custodians to C-level executives).  The session will be tailored to scenarios and issues pertinent to that audience.  How can a staff member discern vision issues?  How should patrons be addressed?  Should staff “help” and if so, when and how?

Liz shares her experience as a sighted and no longer a sighted person, and how the audience can interact with VIPs, whether or not the VIPs admit to being a VIP.

Everyone will benefit from this presentation
